Urmul Seemant Samiti’s Income Generation Programme (IGP) is a comprehensive initiative designed to support and empower artisans in the Thar Desert of Rajasthan, India. Our mission is to revitalize fading art forms, promote sustainable livelihoods, and ensure the holistic growth of rural artisans.

About IGP

The IGP works to create a robust ecosystem that enhances the value chain of Thar Desert crafts. We achieve this by providing a comprehensive package of support services to artisans, craft organizations, and leaders. These services include:

  • Capacity Building: We offer training programs in crafts and management to equip artisans with the skills they need to thrive.
  • Craft Innovation: We introduce new forms of crafts, fostering creativity and expanding the market potential of Thar Desert crafts.
  • Financial Assistance: We provide revolving funds to artisans, enabling them to access capital for materials and production.
